Let me simply kickoff off past maxim that this game is too thence much fun. I came across this game equally I was lurking around Twitter too was striking amongst a sense of nostalgia when I saw the screenshots. This game reminds me of the shooters I used to play equally a child but it's made itself too thence much to a greater extent than than that.

Unlike other rogue-likes I've played, Sublevel Zero gives you lot a decent sum of fourth dimension to go used to its controls. First office of the game puts the role instrumentalist inwards flatter levels too gradually introduces larger too to a greater extent than intricate environments. I'm non not bad at this game but I for sure wasn't getting frustrated every fourth dimension I died. It too rewards players amongst novel material fifty-fifty if they haven't gotten far into the game, equally long equally they've spent plenty fourth dimension playing it. This beginner-friendly approach is something I for sure treasure almost this game H5N1 LOT.

Gameplay-wise, I haven't gotten bored yet. So far, the procedurally-generated maps stimulate got all the same kept me on my feet too there's been a decent diversity of enemies to look upward around the levels. The crafting too diverse upgrades you lot selection upward too create plenty variation betwixt each playthrough to go along things interesting. So I cheer its replayability!

Things I'd similar to see:
Better hardware optimization - The game  collisiones every fourth dimension I create the GUI antialiasing  circletings on my desktop (running a GTX 970), too on my gaming laptop (GTX 860M) I experience the form of lag that hinders the enjoyment of an activity game similar this.
Less clunky inventory/crafting carte du jour - Being inwards the inventory doesn't interruption the game but it takes a lot of clicking to equip/drop/craft things. Would live chilly if it could live streamlined.
A mini-map on the HUD - 6DOF too agency a higher likelihood of getting lost. Bringing upward the map is chilly too all but it does accept fourth dimension to convey it upward over again too over again when lost.
Ability to act spell inwards menus - This would brand the activity a lot to a greater extent than fluid too exciting.
More descriptions inwards the options covert - Option covert currently contains jargon that non all players volition understand

Anothing affair to note: it's possible that some of the to a greater extent than hardcore players may live disappointed amongst the degree of difficulty of this game. While Sublevel Zero does supply a challenge, I experience similar to a greater extent than experienced players may desire something harder. But all inwards all, this is a lovely firm game too I would highly advise it.
